Kevin Hanson

Kevin Hanson’s corporate communications background includes particular expertise in the natural resource sectors. A former practicing lawyer, Kevin has a strong interest in public policy and regulatory matters and provides senior counsel to Crown agencies and major companies and associations in the forest, manufacturing, construction and financial-services industries. Prior to joining Optimum, Kevin spent three years as a policy and communications specialist with the Forest Alliance of B.C., where he played a key role in issues management and advocacy campaigns relating to environmental activism, market access, and government relations.
Kevin holds a Bachelor of Journalism from Carleton University (high honours) and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Toronto. He is an active and award-winning member, and former director, of the BC chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators.
